"JHARKHAND RAKSHA SHAKTI UNIVERSITY" has been established by the Govt. of Jharkhand on 03rd October 2016, and is recognized by the University Grants Commission, New Delhi.
Jharkhand Raksha Shakti University is first of its kind in Jharkhand and third in the country for conducting certificate, diploma and degree courses in the field of police science and internal security.
Till the new University building becomes operational, the activities of the University is being conducted from the Old Judicial Academy building (SKIPA campus) situated at Meurs Road, Ranchi. Its permanent campus is being established over a wide spread area of 75 acres near Khunti which is around 30 km away from Ranchi city.

Vision

Jharkhand Raksha Shakti University will have a transformative impact on society through continual innovation in education, research, creativity and technological knowledge and skills in police, cyber forensics and security administration, which is vital for maintenance of law and order and ensuring peace and harmony in society.

Mission

To impart customised education to the youth of the country in all vital aspects of internal and external security and to ensure a specialized and trained personnel available for employment in various security agencies like police department, defence, private security and as forensic scientists, cyber security experts etc.

JRSU Ranchi Admissions

Candidates need to apply in the prescribed form only for admission to the programs. The instructions for filling up the admission form are listed below: 

  • Download the application form from the university website and take the print-out form. Duly fill-up the form and paste a recent passport size photograph.
  • Attach a Demand Draft of INR 200 drawn in favor of ‘Jharkhand Raksha Shakti University, Ranchi‘ payable at Ranchi, Jharkhand. 
  • Attach the following self-attested documents with the application form
    • Aadhaar Card
    • 10th Mark sheet
    • Intermediate Mark sheet 
    • Graduation Mark sheet
    • Caste & Income Certificate (if applicable)

The admission to all the courses at the Jharkhand Raksha Shakti University shall be decided on the marks obtained in the common entrance test i.e. 60% and aggregate score obtained in the qualifying examination for the respective course i.e. 40%. 

JRSU Ranchi Scholarships

JRSU provides financial aid and scholarships to the deserving students. The University provides Government Scholarships to the students belonging from SC / ST / OBC categories. For more details, students can visit the JRSU website.

JRSU Ranchi Facilities

JRSU conducts its activities from the Old Judicial Academy building which is situated at Meurs Road in Ranchi. The permanent campus is spread over 75 acres and is at a distance of 30 kms from Ranchi. The University provides infrastructure and facilities for the holistic development of the students. The facilities include auditorium, conference hall, canteen, hostel, library which has Books, Journals, Periodicals, Newspapers, e-Books, Wi-Fi, etc. Library has a reading room and provides referral services, reference services, OPAC, etc. Along with this, the students are provided with ample opportunities and are encouraged to participate in curricular activities, co-curricular activities, and sports activities organised by the University.

Jharkhand Raksha Shakti University Placements

JRSU has a Placement Cell which helps the students by guiding and assisting them. The cell enhances the talent and knowledge of students through counseling sessions, mock interviews, group exercises, pre-placement talks, etc. The cell provides training to the students as per the industrial requirements and organises workshops, conferences, and guest lectures. The Cell ensures that the students are provided with appropriate employment opportunities.
